Fall Break Update
Well, today is day #2 of Fall Break. I can't wait to get back to school. My family is so hostile. My sister can't say anything to my brother that doesn't have the words "moron" or "retard" in it. My brother has reached the age where he thinks he doesn't have to listen to Mom anymore, and he is learning is he is not correct. So it's pretty much me and my dad watching baseball and football and letting the other three duke it out.
I went, under silent protest, to church this morning. Mom still feels its important to go. Religious institutions creep me out because me and God still aren't on speaking terms. I went to make her happy. She doesn't know anything about my rejection of Christianity. I plan on keeping it that way, at least for awhile. All she knows right now is that I made the effort to get up early on a Sunday on my Fall Break to be with the family, and that's fine by me.
I spent today either on the couch watching football or in my room. I've been practicing my guitar, if you can call it that. I learned the intro to "In My Place" by Coldplay and "Take on Me" by A-ha. One of those songs will make someone kill me if I play it in her room. Can you guess which one? I still know 4 seconds of "Stairway to Heaven", 4 notes from "Don't Fear (The Reaper)", the "Love Theme" from The Godfather, and the Jeopardy! theme.
Since baseball season is winding down, the focus of this blog will change. There will be more posts about me and what I'm doing, and less baseball. I'll post some about college sports, the NBA, the NFL, or the NHL (hopefully), but I'm not into those as deep as baseball. Expect more about my zany exploits around campus as me and the crew go crazy with the cabin fever that sets in with the Iowa winter.

I understand that. Religion is a delicate area with most people. I think my mom knows but the rest of my family doesn't know that I have renounced all religious beliefs. Unfortunately, most of my family would never respect the fact that I think differently from them.
