Tour de France

With Floyd Landis' win today, an American rider has won the last 8 Tours. Going back to Greg LeMond, an American has won 11 of the last 21 Tours - Armstrong 8, LeMond 3, Landis 1. Now, I'm not big on ragging on the French. They've given us many nice things - French wine, cuisine, Zidane and by association his awesome headbutt. But be that as it may, I think this calls for a big "Stick that in yourle pipe and smoke it."

In other France related news, a really cool (and cute) French girl named Marieke (she was named after this song she said) moved in next to my friend Anson. We've been hanging out and showing her around Des Moines. Just consider me an unofficial ambassador. That goes for all you attractive foreign girls who come to Des Moines. (Just kidding, Liz. [Not really - ladies feel free to give me a call]) And I suppose I could play ambassador to any of my fellow baseball blog nerds. I guess.
