The new NBA basketball

Regardless of your position on the physical properties of the new NBA ball, can we all at least agree the damn thing looks ridiculous? How can you mess with the seams on a baskeball? They're classic. MLB wouldn't dare mess with the stitches on a baseball. Would you rather play with a ball that looks like thisor this
Why don't they just switch to this while they're at it?
